Fine Motor: Doggies on a Leash

You will need:

The Activity:

Learn to count while working on in-hand manipulation and motor planning skills. Children count paper clips then need to figure out how to attach them to each other by hooking them on. This can be challenging but with practice, they get to motor plan correctly and work on dexterity.

Goals:

By linking paper clips to each other, children work on counting skills as well as fine motor skills/ dexterity.

Are you ready to learn?

What you need to do:

Step 1: To prepare this activity print the dogs PDF on card stock paper. Laminate if you’d like to reuse.
Step 2:Use hole puncher to make a holes on each dog tag
Step 3: To play make a leash for each dog by attaching the correct amount of paper clips to each other (in a long chain) and secure it on the dog collar!
