Fine Motor: Play-Doh Sunshine

You will need:

The Activity:

Children love to play with Play Doh for good reasons! They are fun to touch, manipulate, spark creativity, and enhance learning. In this activity, your child will learn how to make rays of the sunshine by using Play Doh. As a bonus, we've added craft sticks to continue building those fine motor skills!

Goals:

Using play dough helps children strengthen little fingers. They will also learn to improve finger dexterity by making little snakes. Using the popsicle sticks to create sun rays further helps our children work on their neat pincer.

Are you ready to learn?

What you need to do:

Step 1: Warm up the play dough in your hands make it easier to use.
Step 2: Tear off a small piece
Step 3: Roll back and forth using the tips of fingers to make sun rays.
Step 4: Place sun rays all around the yellow face on your mat to create a sun!

Step 5: Now make a ball with your play dough
Step 6: Add sun rays using popsicle sticks.
Step 7: Practice flipping popsicle sticks one at a time

Keep track of your amazing progress!
