Learning Corner: Spaceship Sticker Letter Match

You will need:

• Paper Towel Roll

• Round stickers

• Marker

The Activity:

Create a rocket ship with paper towel roll and write letters on it. Identify and match letters by using letter stickers and placing them over the letter on the rocket ship.

Goals:

This activity can be used for letter recognition or for learning to match upper and lower case ltters

What you need to do:

Step 1: Prepare your spaceship!
To make a spaceship begin by cutting out the spaceship PDF. Tape the letters to a paper towel roll. Create the top of the spaceship by cutting a slit to the center of the circle and overlap it to make a pointy top. Add it to your spaceship. Cut 2 slits at the bottom of the paper towel roll and slip the fire. You now have a spaceship!

Step 2: Write letters on round stickers. You can write upper or lower case letters.
Step 3: Peel a sticker with a letter and find the matching letter on the spaceship. Put the sticker on top of the matching letter.
