Fine Motor: Jelly fish Beading

You will need:

Jelly Fish PDF on card stock paper

• Hole puncher

• Pipe cleaners

• Pony beads

 

The Activity:

Children identify the numbers on the tentacles and use their little pincer fingers to bead the correct number of beads on each pipe cleaner

 

Goals:

Children practice number recognition as well as counting skills by stringing the matching number of beads on each tentacle of the jelly fish!

What you need to do:

Step 1: Prepare the activity by printing the jellyfish head and cutting it out. Make holes on each dot below the numbers and attach a pipe cleaner to each hole to make tentacles.
Step 2: Begin by picking one tentacle and identify the number.
Step 3: Count out the number of beads you will need for that tentacle
Step 4: String your beads
