Fine Motor: Numbered Treasures

You will need:

Numbered Treasures PDF

• Scissors

• Hole puncher

• Jewels

• Chopsticks

  

The Activity:

Cut each strip of paper and make the matching number of holes using a hole puncher. Use tongs or chopsticks to count out the matching number of jewels.

 

Goals:

Children work on a variety of fine motor skills. They practice cutting straight lines and strengthen little hands with a hole puncher. They also use chopsticks to count out the number of jewels. This helps strengthen the neat pincer grasp.

What you need to do:

Cut strips of paper from the Numbered treasure PDF by cutting on the lines.
Make holes on each strip matching the number written on the coin
Count out the matching number of jewels and place them on each strip using chopsticks
